@CILOSOUND - ART FORM: MUSIC

1. The inspiration behind my concept WAS. . .

the inspiration behind my concept was simple. The true work behind my art is the work I have to put in to myself. I wanted to capture me in my most natural form in places that are the most familiar to me. My art is simply an exploration of who I am. And it’s a long process of spending time with myself and focusing on my growth.

2. The sweater to me meanS. . .

The sweater speaks to how art is much more than the final product we display for the world to see. It is the hours upon hours of thought, dedication, struggle and intention. Much of my music can’t be reduced to just songs or lyrics. It is a culmination of years of life experience. I’m dealing with life’s joys and struggles in each song, moving through memories and hopes for the future. Its part of what makes the art itself beautiful - the work and experiences we go through in order to create.

3.  Creating with limited resources has shown me that. . .

creating with limited resources has shown me the power of innovation and creativity. When you don’t have resources to work with, you learn how to make something out of nothing. I’ve had to make something out of nothing my whole life. And at times I’ve wished to have more resources to work with, but I also realize that I’ve learned how to create great work without being reliant on anything or anybody. And that’s an empowering feeling. I have control over my own expression.
